Elysium, a Rhodes Island Operator from Iberia, mastered a rather unique form of voice-related Originium Arts. Caught trying to fill in 'Once in a lifetime hottie' on his resume profile, he was detained on the spot by members of the HR Department. Now deputy leader of the 3rd Special Operations Squad, Elysium is responsible for maintaining clear channels of communication on the battlefield and assisting squad members in covert operations.

Imaging tests have shown the outlines of his internal organs to be indistinct due to abnormal shadows. Originium granules have been detected in his circulatory system, confirming him to be infected with Oripathy. [Cell-Originium Assimilation] 7% A small amount of Originium crystals are present on the surface of Elysium's body. He emphatically claims that they are there for decoration, but how could anyone choose to adorn themselves so tastelessly? [Blood Originium-Crystal Density] 0.21u/L The current condition is stable, and effective results have been obtained through focal treatment. Follow-up treatment should be adjusted appropriately depending on the patient's actual condition. Elysium's condition has always been stable. Perhaps this is related to his confident, over-the-top optimism? I don't necessarily hate guys like him, but he does get on my nerves every now and then. —Gavial

Although Elysium has always proclaimed that there is no way he could have been born in Iberia, he shares the characteristics of unfettered boldness and unrestrained freedom that are so prominent in that area. Elysium has traveled the corners of the world alone, and has been to just about any place that you or I could name, including the kind of forlorn places that his codename suggests. According to his own account, he did consider becoming a messenger prior to joining Rhodes Island, a career plan that is now on hold. In fact, Elysium's sense of direction is so strong that he can remember any place he's ever been to, as well as being able to mentally map out a course of action with surprising accuracy. However, the maps that he comes up with often are not cost-efficient or practical, and he sometimes has to simplify these routes to facilitate better understanding and realizability — and yet, none of this meticulousness is carried over to his daily life.

Due to Elysium's unique utility, he is often transferred between various teams due to what the task requires. Generally speaking, in addition to facilitating communication within the team, Elysium's most frequent job is to coordinate interpersonal relationships and arbitrate conflict. He values the relationships between team members far more than Operators who prefer to work alone; therefore, any conflict between members is the last thing he wants to see. Elysium's mere presence during a mission is enough to improve a team's morale and facilitate a more relaxed atmosphere. Though he often fails to recognize his own contribution in maintaining the harmony of a team, he always manages to elicit some very memorable reactions. When operators with clashing personalities have to be assigned to the same team due to special circumstances, the operation leader will often consider adding Elysium to keep the operation moving forward smoothly.

'Elysium and I joined at roughly the same time, so I know a few things about him. There might be people out there who are inclined to believe that he doesn't work hard or take his responsibilities seriously because of his somewhat irreverent, joking tone. But we've all come to realize that this is but another form of humility. A Special Ops team's line of work can be very dangerous, and Elysium's role during these operations is sometimes even more important. The transmission device he carries with him needs to be paired with his Originium Arts in order to achieve the greatest effect, and the tacit synergy between Elysium and his direct superior can sometimes be the key to victory. To say that his job is to provide courage itself is, in my opinion, not an exaggeration. But this courage is not the flag-waving kind that gets people riled up before they charge off to war, but rather something more practical. When operators such as Elysium are present on the battlefield, the commander can better focus on understanding the overall situation, and individual operators can fight with the peace of mind that the operation plan is being executed. Some special operations even hinge on the state.' —Dobermann

Elysium has his own unique criteria for determining whether someone is trustworthy. In the entirety of Rhodes Island, the person who Elysium trusts most is the leader of the 3rd Squad to which he is also assigned, and these sentiments are reciprocated. It can be said that the duo's unbreakable trust is a product of their ability to fit together in all aspects, as well as years of cultivating their relationship. As the captain of one of Rhodes Island's special squads, the leader has a very special ability. This ability often provides unexpected and valuable effects in combat, but poses a hindrance in daily life. Only through Elysium's assistance is the leader able to normally communicate with others, and this responsibility may perhaps be the reason why Elysium chose to stay in Rhodes Island. 'Even though it seems like he's always getting smacked around, they're actually on very good terms.' 'Smacked around? Is the leader of the 3rd Squad such a vicious person?' 'Hmm, I wouldn't say that. The leader's actually an introverted person, despite trying to maintain a cool and calm appearance... Whatever happens, it's usually because Elysium is such a pain in the ass!' —Conversation between a member of the 3rd Squad and a member of the HR Department Once Elysium has recognized someone as reliable, he will display his trust in his own special way, which may manifest in the form of nonsensical dialogue, or through increasingly preposterous bets. In this regard, 'comrade' has a very special meaning for Elysium, and this is not a term that he uses lightly. Taking everything in consideration, none can deny that Elysium is an excellent teammate and a reliable partner on the battlefield, even if he can be a bit annoying.

How high does he want to get promoted? If that position would put him above the squad's captain, Elysium would turn down that opportunity.
Please feel free to assign any work to me. I have a lot of experience as a second-in-command.
This communicator can transmit signals over considerable distances and is a powerful means of communicating between teams. And, yes, my Arts can amplify the signal and ensure that communication between teams goes unimpeded. Battlefield communication, simply put, is a job that was practically made for me.
Lost? No worries, let me take a look. To get there, first go up the stairs on the left and head up to the fourth floor. Then turn right, and after passing the third fork, make a left. Go down a floor, then proceed to your left. It's directly across from Miss Closure's #3 Engineering Room. How's that? Were my instructions clear enough?
Thorns and I have reached an agreement- next time, neither of us will hold back, and a victor will be crowned. This time, I'll make sure to end his existence... Huh? Rhodes Island has an explicit ban on personal fights? You must be mistaken, I'm simply talking about chess. Loser has to shave his head, what say you to this bet?

Of course I'm also not used to being someone else's assistant, since my squad captain relies on me to deliver her orders, and I have to stay on the squad to support her. Wait, these words are just between the two of us. For both of our sakes, don't ever let her know about what I just told you, okay?
Requires [ Elite 2 Lv. 1]
There is no overstating the importance of communication on the battlefield, and of course whoever facilitates that will be the first to get targeted. But don't worry, as long as I'm here, I'll make sure your orders are smoothly transmitted to every combat personnel.

Doctor, you came right on time. Actually, there's something bothering me. Why does everyone prefer looking at a map over asking me for directions? The captain said that my glib tone really gets on peoples' nerves, but there's no way that's true, right? I'm clearly nothing but compassionate towards everyone!

On the battlefield, few things are more important than morale. Do you see this banner? As a vanguard, just lifting it is enough to imbue everyone with courage— Wait, Doctor, you didn't seriously believe that, did you? I was just joking, this thing's actually a communication device.
Requires [ Trust 200%]
Doctor, you've earned my trust. There's no need to be so humble. I have confidence in my perception of others. How about I call you my comrade-in-arms from now on? My captain and I are like oil and water, but I believe that, much like her, you will eventually be moved by my sincerity. No? The captain sent you a letter complaining about me? Ehh?
Doctor, the files over here are... Hm? Already asleep, huh? Well, even if it's just me, you really shouldn't let your guard down like that.
3rd Combat Squad, Vanguard and communications specialist, Elysium, reporting in. I do believe that this is our first time speaking face-to-face rather than through electronic means, Doctor?
I can see myself in a lot of these battle records. Talk about weird.

Thank you very much. I won't end up with a higher rank than my captain if I get promoted again, will I?
Requires [ Elite 2 Lv. 1]
I've always trusted my own judgment, Doctor. But if you're the one giving me orders, I would not question it whatsoever. After all, is that not what it means to be a comrade-in-arms?
Of course, I'd love to.
Don't worry, I'm just a stand-in. The captain's not here right now after all.
In that case, let's go. Everyone, follow the route I drafted.
Have you finished checking the headsets?
No problem.
The signal is stable. Ready to go at any time.
I wonder who our target will be.
Gather under this banner in the name of the Lord— Hah, I've always wanted to try saying that.
S-sorry, I'm really not religious.
Who would! Use a flag! As a weapon! On the battlefield!
See that?
Let's end this quickly!
This just confirms it. We really do make the best partners.
Our teamwork's pretty good. High five!
Those who've lost their fighting spirit are no longer our enemies. Let's stop here.
It's too dangerous. I'll make sure our last line of defense holds. Doctor, please give the order to retreat!
Hm? Has this room been renovated?
What's up?
I heard that if this tuft of red hair on my head falls out, it won't ever grow back. This is a very serious problem Doctor.

Although Operator Elysium is often active in the battlefront, he is actually not very suited for intense direct combat. However, that does not mean we should underestimate this experienced operator. When deployed to a suitable location, and given the right opportunity, he will put his keen observation and outstanding Originium Arts to good use by finding and locking onto all hidden enemies, and directing the entire squad to fire in the most effective direction.
